4-Matdesign is a studio with a goal of sustainable and affordable design. specializing in Residential and Light Commercial projects. As a Design/Build agency, Technology Research & Experience are combined to achieve a construction solution. Interior and Exterior boundaries are explored through materials and nature.
Technology:
Using the latest computer software a detailed and thoughtful site analysis is possible. CAD programs like Revit create sun/shade studies. This combined with SolarPathfinder charts are integrated with topographical models to create a thesis of the site. Rendering software shows the actual materials texture and color in 3 dimensional view. Changes in design are reflected in real time, allowing for accuracy of form and function.
As members of several green building “think-tanks” and consortiums we stay connected and educated about the latest news and technology in the field. Including materials, installers, equipment, and government programs from local to Federal.
